Acceptable Use & IP Policy

You may not upload to or transmit through Cove Estimates any content that:

• Violates any applicable law, regulation, or third-party right (including intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights).
• Infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights — for example, using another agency’s script or a client’s confidential treatment without authorization.
• Contains malware, exploits, or code intended to disrupt systems.
• Harasses, threatens, defames, or invades the privacy of another person.
• Depicts or promotes the sexual exploitation of minors, or any other illegal content.
• Includes personal data of individuals who have not consented to your processing it under applicable privacy law.

When you upload content to the service, you represent that:

• You own it, or you have the express permission of the rights holder to upload and process it through an AI tool.
• Your use of the service and your content does not breach any agreement you have with a client, employer, agency, or other third party (including NDAs that restrict AI processing).
• You are responsible for the consequences if you upload something you should not have.

If you are not sure whether a particular document can be uploaded (for example, a client brief under a strict NDA), check with the rights holder before pasting it into Cove Estimates.

Cove Estimates, including its source code, visual design, logos, the name “Cove Estimates,” template estimate structures, rate-card templates, and the software that powers the service, is owned by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in our IP beyond the limited license to use the service described in our Terms of Use.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from our product or its templates except as expressly permitted by law.

You retain all rights in the content you upload or create on Cove Estimates. The limited license you give us to host and process that content — so we can actually deliver the product to you — is described in our Terms of Use. We do not claim ownership of your briefs, estimates, line items, client lists, or uploads, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

If you believe content on Cove Estimates infringes your copyright, you can send a written notice to our designated agent that includes all of the following:

1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
3. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it.
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.

If we remove or disable access to material in response to a notice, we will make a reasonable attempt to contact the user who posted it. That user may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing — or misrepresenting that removed material is non-infringing — can subject you to liability.

We will suspend or terminate accounts of users we determine, in our reasonable judgment, to be repeat infringers. Depending on severity we may also terminate accounts on a single strike for particularly egregious violations.

If you see content or behavior on Cove Estimates that violates this policy — including harassment, malware, or impersonation — email us at hello@coveestimates.com with as much detail as you can share. Reports are handled confidentially; we may follow up for clarification.

We may investigate suspected violations of this policy. When a violation is confirmed we may, depending on severity, remove or disable access to specific content, suspend features for an account, terminate the account, reverse or refuse refunds, and cooperate with law enforcement where appropriate.

Where we reasonably can, we will notify the account holder before taking action. We may act without prior notice when a violation presents an immediate risk to other users, to our infrastructure, or to third parties.
